The Deeper Life Church who maintained that they are purely faith-based organization and would in no way support political parties, has warned its members against dragging the church into politics. The State Overseer of the Deeper Life Church in Niger State, Pastor Toyin Araromi who spoke to a NAN correspondent, said the church does not involve itself in politics. Edirin Okoloko Sworn In As Judge In USA Weeks After His Appointment.

A Nigerian man, Edirin Okoloko, has been officially sworn in as a Judge in the State of Washington, USA. His swearing-in ceremony was held on Saturday, October 20th (yesterday), weeks after his appointment by governor, Jay Inslee governor of Washington. Gov. Jay Inslee appointed the 13-year veteran of the county’s prosecutor’s office to replace retiring Judge George Bowden. Okoloko was born in Nigeria, and received law degrees at the University of Benin and the Seattle University School of Law, according to the governor’s office. He served as a law clerk for former Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Michael Downes, who retired this year. Okoloko has prosecuted murders, sexual assaults, child abuse and elder abuse. “Edirin has a clear dedication to the legal profession and a successful history of bringing justice to some of our state’s most vulnerable crime victims,” Inslee said in a prepared statement. “He will be an excellent addition to the bench in Snohomish County.”
