A professor in the Department of Radiology , University of Ilorin , Adewale Oguntoyinbo , has said that female infertility is caused by infections aggravated by multiple sexual partners , poor health facilities and inadequate treatment of affected individuals . Oguntoyibo said this last Thursday in Ilorin , capital of Kwara State , while delivering the 181 st inaugural lecture of UNILORIN . He argued that several studies , including those by the World Health Organisation , have indicated that most cases of female infertility in Africa were caused by infections acquired from miscarriages and induced abortions , as well as child labour and sexually transmitted infections . A Canadian rapper died after falling from the wing of a flying plane he was walking on during a music video shoot, his management team said . Osun Election: Tribunal orders substituted service on INEC, Oyetola

The reconstituted Osun State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal has ordered the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, to serve his petition and other court processes on the respondents by pasting it on the notice board of the tribunal. The Justice Muhammad Sirajo-headed tribunal gave this order at the sitting in Osogbo on Monday following an ex parte application for substituted service filed before the panel by Adeleke and the PDP. The petitioners had prayed the court to grant them the leave to serve the Independent National Electoral Commission; the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, and his party, the APC, through substituted means since they were allegedly evading service. Specifically, the labour unions said if the upward review of the national minimum wage was not acceded to by the governors and the Federal Government, they would have no other option but to go on strike. In a statement jointly signed by the NLC President, Ayuba Wabba; the TUC President, Bobboi Kaigama; and ULC President,  Joe Ajaero, the unions lambasted the Federal Government for its decision to implement a ‘no work, no pay’ policy. The Economic Community of West African States has said the international community and voters in Nigeria believe that security agents might have been used in creating problems for the electoral process. The Head of Political Affairs, ECOWAS, Dr Remi Ajibewa, said this when he and other ECOWAS officials visited the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, according to a statement on Sunday. Ajibewa said while INEC conducted the Osun governorship election professionally, the same could not be said of the security agencies.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, on Sunday raised the alarm over what he described as a plot against him by unnamed party stakeholders. The alarm was sequel to news reports that some high-ranking party stakeholders including some close associates of President Muhammadu Buhari and some unnamed state governors were plotting to ease him out. Oshiomhole alleged that the stakeholders were mostly party members who were uncomfortable with his “positive” reforms. Kaduna State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Kaduna town and environs with immediate effect. The Senior Special Assistant to the state governor on Media and Publicity, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, stated this on Sunday in Kaduna. Meanwhile, the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, has deployed the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 7, Taiwo Lakanu, to lead a Police intervention force to Kaduna to ensure that normalcy returns to the area. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that 55 people were killed on Thursday, October 18 during a crisis at Kasuwan Magani in Kajuru Local Government Area of the state. I have a friend who works with a multinational firm, he has a matured girlfriend in her second level in the University, she resigned her job two years ago to get a degree.  They have been dating for over a year now and he intends settling down next year with her, presently, the guy pays her fees and gives her monthly upkeep cash, money to make her hair etc. but the problem is that the young man complains that she rarely washes his clothes, even boxers. Sometimes the guy spends 7 days in a week at work with no time to wash his clothes. And he doesn't like giving his clothes to drycleaners as they usually ruin the colours. A Nigerian man, Edirin Okoloko, has been officially sworn in as a Judge in the State of Washington, USA. His swearing-in ceremony was held on Saturday, October 20th (yesterday), weeks after his appointment by governor, Jay Inslee governor of Washington. Gov. Jay Inslee appointed the 13-year veteran of the county’s prosecutor’s office to replace retiring Judge George Bowden. Okoloko was born in Nigeria, and received law degrees at the University of Benin and the Seattle University School of Law, according to the governor’s office. He served as a law clerk for former Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Michael Downes, who retired this year. Okoloko has prosecuted murders, sexual assaults, child abuse and elder abuse. “Edirin has a clear dedication to the legal profession and a successful history of bringing justice to some of our state’s most vulnerable crime victims,” Inslee said in a prepared statement. “He will be an excellent addition to the bench in Snohomish County.”
